SSV Eastern Metropolitan Region Swimming Competition
SSV Eastern Metropolitan Regional Swimming Carnival
The PLC Junior School Regional Swim Team competed at Aquanation Ringwood on Friday, 16th March 2018. All twelve members had trained hard since late last year to earn a place at the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Swimming Carnival. With parents cheering from the sidelines the girls yet again showcased their skills in the swimming pool.
Lauren Chew and Jade Chen competed in their individual events. They all swam great races all should be proud of their efforts amongst very tough competition.
Our stars of tomorrow in the 9/10 year old girls Freestyle Relay Team raced a very fast time and it was close all the way with PLC finishing in fifth place, well done girls.
The 11 year old girls Freestyle Relay team displayed great intensity and speed in the pool. The girls swam a fantastic and exciting race finishing in fifth position in the Region, great work girls.
Our 12/13 year old Freestyle Relay team raced well against very good opposition. The girls swam a pulsating race, finishing in sixth place and should be proud of their efforts.
It was an absolute pleasure working with such a motivated group of girls. There are many people who made the PLC Swim Team such a successful team this year. Thank you to the parents for their support, Dean, Simona and Damien from the Aquatic Centre for giving up their time to train the girls and to all the girls who represented PLC in the initial Squad, District, Division or Regional Swim Teams, well done on all your hard work.
